Community Involvement for the Fall Season
The Catseye Pest Control regional teams love to spend time with their local communities, and October is a huge month of activity in the Capital Region of New York. With a busy month ahead, you’ll be certain to see plenty of Caddie and other Catseye team members at events in your neighborhood.
The team wraps up September at the 57th Annual Fall Foliage Parade on Sunday, Sept. 30 in North Adams. The parade, themed “Toys on Parade,” begins at 1 p.m. For more information, visit the 2012 Northern Berkshire Fall Foliage Parade website.
Oct. 7, 2012 is a busy day. Catseye is sponsoring 10 mile markers at the Mohawk Hudson River Marathon and Half Marathon, where racing begins at 8:30 a.m. Caddie will be at the start of the marathon is Schenectady Central Park, at mile marker 8 in Lions Park and at the finish line in Albany Riverfront Park at the Corning Preserve. Watch Caddie cheer racers along as they race to qualify for the prestigious Boston Marathon. As well, Catseye has provided donations to the racer goodie bags at Oct. 7’s Community for a Cure JDRF 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. The event begins at 1 p.m.
On Saturday, Oct. 20, you can find Caddie cheering on racers at Bite Back for a Cure: A Tick-Borne Disease Alliance Walk/Run to Fight Tick-Borne Diseases. The 5K race starts at 11 a.m. with a 1.5 mile fun run following. Catseye’s team will be on-site to discuss tick prevention tips and help raise awareness about tick-borne diseases such as Lyme.
The Commission on Economic Opportunity: A Time for Tasting… and a Season for Helping Benefit is on Thursday, Oct. 25. The benefit supporting the CEO is sponsored in part by Catseye Pest Control. For more information about the organization, visit the official website.
