Not only can rats be a nuisance, but they can also pass diseases along to those they come in contact with. Rats often invade homes, as they seek out warm areas to live. The rats then chew and gnaw on objects in the home, causing severe damage. They can also spread diseases to those living in the home through the air, their feces and bites. Many of these diseases are rather serious, and some can even be fatal.

A list of just some of the deadly disease carried by rats:

  • Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome
  • Leptospirosis
  • Eosinophillic Meningitis
  • Murine Typhus
  • Rat Bite Fever
  • Here are some signs that you might have a Rat Problem. Rat droppings may be present, indicating a healthy, feeding rat population. Rats also tend to leave dirt or grease marks along walls and floorboards. Rats gnaw incessantly on hard, non-edible materials such as plastic and wood. The presence of damaged materials and large holes in floorboards and walls are sure signs of infestation. Rat tooth marks are large and rough in appearance.
