Bed Bug Incest?

A recent study shows bed bugs are impervious to the developmental defects of incest. It is commonly known that inbreeding among animals, humans included, increases the chance of genetic deficiencies. However, entomologists at North Carolina State University discovered that bed bugs have a special genetic ability to withstand incest, and its effects on juveniles. Due to this preliminary study, it is inferred that even if just a few bed bugs survive a treatment, they can reproduce quickly, causing even more trouble.
